The President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, has lauded Arsenal following the club’s FA Cup record-extending win on Saturday.
The East African country enjoys a cordial relationship with Arsenal and is one of the English side’s sponsors.
In 2018, President Kagame supervised the signing of a three-year sponsorship deal between Arsenal and Rwanda.
Helping to make Rwanda a global tourist destination, Arsenal players display a ‘Visit Rwanda’ logo on their sleeves.
And following the Gunner’s 2-1 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup final, President Kagame wasted little time to complimenting the feat.
“Bravo, congrats Arsenal for a well-deserved and needed FA Cup win,” he tweeted on Twitter.
“We, fans, and supporters kept faith in you…going forward let’s aim at much bigger things and yes we can.”
The ‘Visit Rwanda’ logos are on the left sleeve for Arsenal’s first team, U-23, and women’s team.
