Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has been arrested over claims he assaulted his girlfriend Kate Greville.
According to local reports, the Wales manager was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of actual bodily harm and assault.
“Police were called at 10.05pm on Sunday to reports of a disturbance. A woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries but did not require any treatment,” a police spokesperson said.
“A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault and section 39 common assault.”

His agent announced last night: ‘He denies all allegations of assault made against him.
‘He is cooperating with the police and will continue to assist them with their ongoing investigations.’
Giggs has been dating Greville since 2017 following his divorce from wife Stacey, who he cheated on with his brother’s wife for eight years.
Giggs postponed the announcement of his Wales’ squad for three games in November as his future in the coaching role was thrown into doubt.
It reamins unclear if he will take charge of Wales for its next game against the USA on November 12.
