Egyptian national team coach Hossam Hassan has announced the list of players invited to face Burkina Faso and Guinea Bissau in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers next June.
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and Al-Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy have made a comeback to the Pharaohs’ squad.
Salah’s return is a major boost for the team, given his exceptional skills and experience on the international stage. El-Shenawy’s inclusion also strengthens the team’s goalkeeping department.
However, the list was notable for the absence of Eintracht Frankfurt winger Omar Marmoush, who is currently recovering from finger surgery. Meanwhile, Mohamed Elneny continues to be absent due to his limited playing time with Arsenal.
Hossam Hassan, who has led the Pharaohs in only two matches in the Egypt International Friendly Championship against New Zealand and Croatia, will be hoping to build on his team’s momentum with these crucial World Cup qualifiers.
