Egyptian international Mohamed Salah confirmed on Sunday that no one has spoken to him about renewing his contract with Liverpool FC, which expires at the end of this season.
“I spent a lot of time with myself trying to think positively because, as you know, it’s my last year at the club. I just want to enjoy it,” Salah told British media after contributing a goal and two assists in the 3-0 win over Manchester United in the third round.
The 32-year-old said he told himself it was “probably the last time” he would play for Liverpool at Old Trafford because “nobody has spoken to me about a contract yet”.
“It doesn’t depend on me alone. No one from the club has spoken to me. We’ll see,” he continued.
