A brace from Daniel Afriyie was what Ghana needed to defeat Uganda in the Africa U20 Cup of Nations final at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott on Saturday night.
It was the debutants who settled fast and had a massive opportunity to score the opening goal after just three minutes.

He received a long ball, held off Frank Assinki but with the goalkeeper to beat he blasted the ball over.
Meanwhile, some Black Stars players have been celebrating the victory of the U-20 lads.

On Ghana’s Independence Day, the West Africans handed Uganda a 2-0 defeat at Stade Municipal in the Mauritanian capital of Nouakchott to win the cup.
It is the Black Satellites’ fourth title following successes in 1993, 1999 and 2009.

Ayew, who scored twice to help Swansea City to a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday and who led Ghana to win their last U20 Afcon title in 2009, posted after the game:
