The Brooklyn Nets managed to surprise everybody at Crypto.com Arena on Christmas Day. Even though they came to LA without Kevin Durant, the Nets found the right way to the final win. The main reason for that was the fantastic performance from their top players in the absence of KD.
James Harden played on a very high level throughout the whole match, finishing off with a triple-double. He wrapped up the game with 36 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Patty Mills was the Nets’ most valuable player against the Lakers due to his high efficiency. He went for an 8-13 shooting from deep range and recorded a career-high 34 points.
Patty Mills is taking over.

They became the first duo in the NBA that scored at least 30 points each on Christmas Day since 1993. Back in the days, the Suns’ teammates Charles Barkley and Kevin Johnson dropped 38 points and 36 points respectively in a 111:91 win over the Houston Rockets. Mills also became the player with most 3-pointers made during Christmas Special. His 8 successful attempts were just enough for him to surpass the current record holders – Brandon Ingram, Kyrie Irving, and Duncan Robinson.
