He surpassed the legendary Nugget, Dikembe Mutombo, who had 4,811 rebounds in his 5-year career for the team. The Congolese played in the NBA between 1991 and 2009. He is an 8-time NBA All-Star and won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year four times.
Mutombo wore №55 which has been retired by the Denver Nuggets out of respect for the following the fantastic 5-year spell in Colorado. The center started off his career in the NBA exactly with this team in 1991. He went on to receive his recognition as a one of the best defensive players in the NBA.
