Boniface bags brace as Bayer Leverkusen beat Hoffenheim

Victor Boniface was the hero as Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen recorded a 4-1 away win against Hoffenheim.

New signing Martin Terrier opened scoring for the visitors in the 17th minute following an assist from Boniface.

Boniface doubled the advantage on the half hour mark after he was set up by Granit Xhaka.

It was the Nigeria international’s first league goal of the season.

The striker scored Die Werkself’s fourth goal of the after 15 minutes from time.

Boniface was replaced by Patrick Schick four minutes from time.

His international teammate, Nathan Tella was also named in the starting line-up.

Tella was substituted by Jeremie Frimpong in the 57th minute.
