Bukayo Saka has donated over a thousand school uniforms to help families struggling with the cost of living crisis.
Born and bred in Ealing, Saka donated the uniforms to four schools in the local area — including Greenford High which he attended as a youngster.
The Arsenal winger stopped by the school in person to surprise the children, parents and teachers — handing out uniforms, posing for pictures and signing autographs with the star-struck kids.
In 2022, Saka was awarded the Freedom of the Borough of Ealing for his sporting achievements and being an inspiration to the young people of the area.
Whenever a player gives back to the area they grew up in, it always resonates. But when it’s done to ease the burden of cost of living pressures, it means even more.
This is not the first time Saka has paid it forward, either. Since 2022, the 23-year-old has supported children’s medical charity BigShoe by funding life-changing operations in Kano, Nigeria.
These kinds of contributions are what the next gen need to believe they can be the next Saka. Long may it continue.
Bukayo Saka brings joy to his former stomping grounds 🎉
