American actor Jamie Foxx says he is eagerly preparing to act as Mike Tyson in an upcoming movie project.
The 52-year-old showed his bulked-up body as he aims to have the physique of the legendary boxer before imitating him in the movie.
The Oscar winning actor said the upcoming biopic centres on the life of the former heavyweight boxer.
Foxx made the revelation during an Instagram Live interview with Hollywood producer Mark Birnbaum.
He further stated that the movie will go ahead despite a stalling of the project for the past six years.
“Doing biographies is a tough thing. Sometimes it takes 20 years to get it done but we officially got the real ball rolling,” he noted.
“I can’t wait to show people what it is.” On building up his body, the actor said: “I ain’t got no legs, I ain’t got no calf muscles so we’re gonna have to get some prosthetics for that.”
Foxx said he is excited about the idea of playing Mike Tyson, adding that he has personally keenly followed the former boxer’s journey.
“I saw him at the height of his career, and then when things got bad and bumpy I also saw him as well. So what I’m excited about the movie is to show those moments.
“I think everyone, young and old, will be able to understand this man’s journey,” the actor added.
