The list was officially released on Thursday and Nnadozie was among the nominees for the Women’s Yachine Trophy.

The Nigerian goalkeeper who recently joined Brighton & Hove Albion Women made the cut, following her wonderful performances for both club and country.

The 24-year-old played a huge role in Paris FC winning the Coupe de France, with Nnadozie making two crucial saves in a dramatic penalty shootout win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Following her heroics within the sticks, she helped her former club to win its first trophy in two decades.

Nnadozie took it a notch higher on the international stage where she also played a key role in Nigeria’s triumph in the 2025 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

She managed to keep four clean sheets as the Super Falcons came back home with a record-extending 10th title.

Nnadozie, following her brilliant performances was named the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper and earned a spot in the Team of the Tournament.

She and four other goalkeepers have been nominated for this year’s Yachine Trophy, which honours the best goalkeeper in women’s football.

The other nominated female goalkeepers are Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany), Cata Coll (Spain), Hannah Hampton (England), and Daphne van Domselaar (Netherlands).

The winner of the award will be announced at the Ballon d’Or ceremony later this year.
