Scouts from Anderlecht, Midtjylland and Mafra head to Ghana to watch the country's brightest young talents fight for a shot at Europe.
Ghana's next generation of footballers is about to step onto a stage with Europe watching. The MidCity Football Academy Agency Tournament will bring scouts from RSC Anderlecht of Belgium, FC Midtjylland of Denmark and CD Mafra of Portugal to the country, giving emerging talents a rare chance to be seen by international clubs.
The action begins in Accra on Monday, October 19, and runs through Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the Alajo Astro Turf. Kickoff is set for 9:00 AM each day, so players will need to be sharp from the first whistle.
The tournament then travels to Kumasi, where Wesley College School Park hosts the second leg from Wednesday, October 21, to Thursday, October 22. The two-city format opens the door to young players from different backgrounds, letting them show off their technical quality, tactical awareness and overall potential in front of the visiting scouts.
For the participants, the stakes go well beyond a trophy. Strong performances could put them on the radar of European clubs and lead to further assessments and possible professional opportunities. For Ghanaian football, the event is another reminder of how much talent is waiting to be discovered, and how important it is to build pathways that carry it onto the global stage.
