Phobians boss Nebojsa Kapor wants a full house behind Hearts of Oak as they chase Medeama in the Ghana Premier League.
Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak are asking their famously loud army of supporters to show up and show out. Coach Nebojsa Kapor has made a direct appeal for fans to fill the stands on Saturday, October 17, when the Phobians take on Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown. Kick-off for the Matchday 7 clash is 15:00 GMT.
Kapor believes the crowd can be a real weapon. The Serbian tactician says the bond between the team and its followers matters, and he wants everyone with Hearts in their blood to come and back the players. His message was simple: when the club and its people stand together, they are stronger.
The timing is important. Hearts are fresh off a 1-0 win over Port City FC, a result that ended a three-game winless run in the league and brought back some much-needed belief in camp.
That victory lifted the Phobians to second place with 11 points, three behind leaders Medeama. A second straight win against Vision FC would keep the pressure on at the top, and Kapor is hoping a vocal home-style atmosphere in Tema helps carry his side there.
