Ghana's Rahim Ibrahim struck twice in a 3-0 Slovak top-flight win, taking his season haul to four goals in seven games.
Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim was the star of the show on Saturday, scoring twice to power Slovan Bratislava to a 3-0 win away at Spartak Trnava in the Slovak top flight.
The 22-year-old made his mark early, breaking the deadlock in the 19th minute after a pass from gambian winger Suleiman Camara. Slovan kept pushing and doubled their lead in the 34th minute, when Adam Griger converted a chance created by Armenian midfielder Tigran Barseghyan.
With a two-goal cushion at the break, the reigning champions controlled the second half with composure. Ibrahim then sealed the result ten minutes from time, finishing off a move crafted by Bosnian midfielder Alen Mustafic.
The brace lifts Ibrahim to four goals in seven appearances across all competitions this season, a sign of his growing influence at Slovan. For a young Ghanaian making his mark in Central Europe, it is another encouraging step in a promising campaign.
