Troy Deeney has named his Premier League XI for the latest round, and as usual it's got fans ready to argue over who deserved a spot.
Another Premier League round is done, and Troy Deeney has put together his team of the week. The former Watford captain has made this a regular feature after each set of fixtures this season, and it never fails to start a debate.
Deeney played in the top flight for years and knows what a strong individual display looks like. His XI tends to reward more than goals and assists. Hard-running performances, big moments and standout defending can count just as much as a headline-grabbing finish.
That's why the list gets people talking. Every fan has a player who they think was unlucky to miss out, and another they think got in on reputation. Picking a team of the week means leaving out players who had good games, and those omissions are half the fun.
So check Deeney's selections, compare them against your own XI and decide where he got it right and where he missed. Then take the argument to your group chat, because the Premier League never leaves much time between rounds, and the next team of the week will be along soon.
