Max Verstappen finally conquers Marina Bay, taking a commanding first Singapore GP win ahead of Charles Leclerc and Kimi Antonelli.
Max Verstappen has added a missing piece to his Formula 1 résumé. The Red Bull driver took his first Singapore Grand Prix victory, controlling the night race at Marina Bay and leaving the chasing pack with work to do.
Charles Leclerc brought it home in second, pushing hard to stay in the fight and picking up a valuable podium finish. Behind him, Kimi Antonelli rounded out the top three, another strong result for the young Italian on one of the toughest stages on the calendar.
Singapore is a brutal test of concentration. The street circuit is tight, hot and unforgiving, with walls waiting for the smallest error. Winning here takes precision as much as pace, and Verstappen delivered both to tick this venue off his list.
For Red Bull, the result is a timely statement. For Leclerc and Antonelli, it is a reminder that the gap at the front is still there to be closed. The paddock now moves on, but Verstappen's name is on the Marina Bay winners' list at last.
