Bucks Sign Third Antetokounmpo Brother, Alex, to Two-Way NBA Deal

The Milwaukee Bucks are signing Alex Antetokounmpo to a two-way NBA contract.

He will be joining his older brothers, Giannis and Thanasis, on the Bucks’ 18-man roster, which means three brothers will be on the active roster of the same team for the first time in NBA history. To make room for the youngest Antetokounmpo brother, the Bucks are waiving point guard Jamaree Bouyea. ESPN was first to report both transactions.

Alex Antetokounmpo signed with Greek team Aris BC before the start of this season but decided to leave the team to pursue opportunities in the NBA G League, which opened the path for him to sign a two-way contract with the Bucks.

The 24-year-old wing previously signed Exhibit 10 contracts with the Bucks before the start of the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons and played for the Wisconsin Herd, the Bucks’ G League affiliate, in both seasons. Across 50 games for the Herd in those two seasons, Antetokounmpo averaged 5.8 points per game in just over 1,000 minutes. Before joining the Herd in 2022, Alex played for the Raptors 905 in the 2021-22 season.
