Super Falcons number one Chiamaka Nnadozie came fourth in the Yachine Trophy rankings for the best women’s goalkeeper in the world at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards.
The 24-year-old was in the running for the prestigious award after she played her part in Nigeria winning a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco.
She also put in stellar displays at club level for Paris FC who finished third in the Women’s Primiere Ligue behind Olympique Lyon and rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
Nnadozie sealed a move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League and kept a clean sheet on her debut in a goalless draw with Aston Villa.
She ultimately finished behind England’s Hannah Hampton, Germany’s and Spain’s Cata Coll while she was ahead of the Netherlands’ Daphne van Domselaar.
