The Sacramento Kings upset the Los Angeles Lakers in a mind-blowing triple overtime

The game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings produced a remarkable show finishing after triple overtime, 137:141 in favour of the Kings. Sacramento erased a 13-point deficit in the 4th Quarter to send the game into overtime.

LeBron James finished off with 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 assists on 2-13 shooting from the 3-point line. Russell Westbrook added a triple-double – 29 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists. For Sacramento, De’Aaron Fox led the way with 34 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds. Tyrese Haliburton was also effective with his 19 points and 5 steals throughout 47 minutes of playing time. Buddy Hield came up clutch in the end, scoring 17 points in the overtime to seal the deal for the Kings.

This was yet another loss for the LA Lakers this season as they find themselves in 7th place in the West with 10 wins and 11 losses. Sacramento retain their 11th place, but with this victory they closed the gap to the Memphis Grizzlies, the Denver Nuggets, and the Minnesota Timberwolves and are now a win away from the 8th place.

In their next games, the Lakers will host the Detroit Pistons in Staples Centre as LeBron James will have to face once again Isaiah Stewart. On the other hand, the Sacramento Kings will have yet another tough encounter in the face of the Memphis Grizzlies.
