Brighton & Hove Albion women’s team have announced the signing of Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie on a free transfer from Paris FC.

The Nigerian number one will join the Seagulls on July 1 when her contract with Paris FC expires at the end of June.

Nnadozie joined Paris FC from Rivers Angels in January 2020 and made 118 appearances for the club. She put in a stellar performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the 2025 Coupe de France Feminine final, saving two penalties to help secure the title.

She also featured 16 times in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and was named UNFP Division 1 Feminine Goalkeeper of the Season, making her the first African player to receive the award.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chiamaka to the club. She’s a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line,” head coach Dario Vidosic told the club website.

“She has competed at the highest level, with valuable experience in a variety of cup competitions, including the Champions League. We’re confident she’ll add both depth and drive to a squad already full of ambition as we continue to build for next season.”

Nnadozie will be the second Nigerian goalkeeper at Brighton after Comfort Erhabor.  She is currently preparing to participate in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with the Super Falcons.

She has been capped 55 times for the national team and has featured at two WAFCON tournaments (2018 and 2022), two FIFA Women’s World Cups (2019 and 2023) and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
