Liverpool have been dealt yet another injury blow after Naby Keita was forced off against Leicester City.
The 25-year-old was seen clutching his hamstring at Anfield and punched the turf in frustration after the realisation he would be unable to continue.
The Guinea international was soon replaced by Neco Williams.
Keita will now be assessed by the club’s medical staff and is likely to undergo a scan to determine the severity of the issue.
Despite being boosted by the return of Fabinho, Liverpool’s injury list features likely long-term absentees Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, while Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Xherdan Shaqiri are also unavailable currently.
Liverpool are next in action against Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
